Water-resistant and waterproof makeup are not the same thing, but they are constantly taken to mean the same thing. In order to explain the difference you can kinda think of them like sisters, but with slightly different personalities.

So, Why Not Waterproof?
Now we cannot completely dismiss waterproof, since one of other stellar products is waterproof - our LushLine+ Eyeliner.
However, the choice to use a water-resistant formula for our mascara is by far the best decision we have made in our product development.
AND….it is the BEST choice you can make for your lashes to keep them from becoming brittle and falling out.
Water-proof would just be too harsh for delicate lashes and the research shows that waterproof mascaras cause dryness, fallout and major clumping (the list goes on but we won’t go there!)
